Full job description

Lough Eske Castle is the only five-star hotel in North-West of Ireland, set in the foothills of the Bluestack Mountains, Donegal. Recently awarded a Great Place to Work certification, the hotel offers spacious accommodations, hotel packages, wedding and meeting spaces, and various dining options.

Key Responsibilities:

Process all reservation requests received by phone or email in a professional, friendly and efficient manner
Maintain good knowledge of hotels services, packages and rates and upselling where possible
Perform job as set by company policies and procedures
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Ensure guest history accounts and preferences are kept current
Review no show reservations and process charges according to hotel policy
Monitor waitlists and determine priority of guests to be contacted for room availability.
Accommodate all guest requests in an accurate and efficient manner.
Communicate VIP, repeat guest and other guest information and requests to relevant departments
Lateral assistance to the Front Desk including check-ins and check-outs
Protect company assets; protect the privacy and security of guests and co-workers
Carrying out any additional duties as required

Shifts are 5 days over 7, includes weekend and evenings.

Qualifications:

Essential:

Leaving Certificate or equivalent
Possess a good command of the English language and the ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate with guests, both in person and by telephone.
Confident IT skills including outlook, word and excel
Flexible approach to work including weekends

Desirable:

A college education or training in the hospitality industry
Previous experience as a reservationist in a luxury market
Knowledge of Opera Cloud
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
