Join Laochra Academy, a growing School Aged Childcare Team in Cavan

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Operations Manager to oversee a group of school aged childcare services in Cavan, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, compliance, and operational performance. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader who thrives in a multi-site environment and is passionate about developing teams, driving quality, and supporting children's learning and development.

The Role

As Operations Manager, you will support and lead coordinators in Cavan, ensuring after school services operate efficiently, remain fully compliant, and deliver an outstanding experience for children, families, and employees. You will act as the key link between Head Office and 7 onsite teams, helping to drive consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and support a team of 7 coordinators in schools in Cavan
Conduct regular school visits and performance reviews
Ensure full compliance with Tusla, Children First, and childcare regulations
Monitor quality standards, safeguarding practices, and operational procedures
Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning
Drive staff engagement and leadership development initiatives
Oversee occupancy, staffing levels, budgets, and centre performance
Support centres in delivering high-quality child-centred activities
Ensure a positive parent experience and timely resolution of concerns
Identify opportunities to improve performance, quality, and growth across the region

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in a multi-site management or regional leadership role
Proven experience in a primary school / working with school aged children
Strong knowledge of Tusla regulations
Excellent people management and coaching skills
Experience managing performance, budgets, and operational targets
Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example
Relevant qualification in Early Years, Primary Education (or equivalent)
A full clean drivers license and own transport is essential
