O'Toole Skip Hire is looking for a reliable, safety-conscious Machine Driver to join our team. You'll be responsible for operating yard machinery and keeping our site running efficiently and safely day to day.
What you'll be doing:
- Operating site plant machinery (e.g. 8-tonne digger/excavator, telehandler, or similar)
- Using machinery to sort and separate material by type and quality
- Carrying out routine daily checks on machinery and reporting faults promptly
- Assisting with general yard duties and manual handling of materials and equipment
- Keeping the site clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Working safely and cooperatively as part of a small team
What we're looking for:
- Valid ticket for digger/excavator, telehandler, or similar plant machinery (desirable)
- Manual Handling certificate (essential, or willingness to complete before starting)
- Previous experience operating plant or agricultural machinery, ideally in a waste management, recycling, farming, or quarry environment
- Good attention to detail and a strong safety mindset
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and in a team
