About Us

Banada Health is a busy, friendly general practice dedicated to providing high-quality primary care to our local community. We pride ourselves on a warm, patient-centred approach and a supportive team environment. We're now looking for a part-time Practice Secretary/Administrator to join us.

About the Role

As our Practice Secretary/Administrator, you'll be a key point of contact for our patients and a vital support to our GPs and nursing team, helping to keep the practice running smoothly day to day.

Key Responsibilities

Answering phones and dealing with patient queries in a courteous, professional manner
Booking, amending, and managing patient appointments
Greeting patients and managing practice reception
Processing repeat prescription requests
Managing referrals, correspondence, and scanning/filing of patient documents
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records (GDPR compliant)
Liaising with hospitals, pharmacies, labs, and other healthcare providers
Handling billing, payments, and basic invoicing
Managing incoming/outgoing post and email correspondence
General office administration, including ordering supplies and maintaining filing systems
Supporting GPs and nursing staff with administrative tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a medical, healthcare, or general office administration role preferred
Familiarity with GP practice software (e.g. Socrates, Healthone) an advantage
Excellent phone manner and communication skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure
Discretion and understanding of patient confidentiality
Proficient in Microsoft Office/general computer skills
A friendly, professional, and patient-focused approach
