Purpose of the role:
DPD Ireland are currently recruiting a People Operations Administrator to work as part of our People Operations Team in our Head Office in Athlone, Co. Westmeath. Reporting directly to the People Operations Generalist, this is a busy and varied role and a great opportunity to gain HR experience within a large organisation. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress their HR career as you will gain exposure to all aspects of HR for a large, busy organisation, whilst working with and learning from experienced HR Professionals. The role will provide administrative support while assisting the People Operations Team to execute our people strategy. You will be given the opportunity to take initiative and develop your expertise, with senior and experienced HR professionals to call on for support when you need it. It is a busy role, so managing multiple stakeholders, juggling a variety of tasks at any given time is critical. You will also be involved with some aspects of HR project planning and support, alongside your daily operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the recruitment and onboarding process ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
- Provide administration support to the People Operations team assisting with all general HR duties.
- Collate data from the HR Information Systems and design and prepare relevant HR reports.
- Analyse HR data to identify trends which require escalation to the relevant department manager.
- Administer and update various HR processes.
- Actively be involved in HR Projects as they arise.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies, processes and programmes.
- Continually look for new and better ways to do things, utilising technology and streamlining processes.
- Assist with planning and organising employee events to encourage employee engagement.

Experience Preferred:
- At least 1 year HR Administration experience
Qualifications Preferred:
CIPD or HR qualification desired or working towards.
Skills Required:
- Strong attention to detail is a must as well as excellent reporting skills.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and take ownership for your work.
- Self-motivated and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- The ability to communicate appropriately and effectively in a number of different environments, ranging from peer to peer office based discussions, to disciplinary hearings.
- Strong computer skills, in particular Microsoft Excel.
- The ability to create and maintain accurate HR records.
- Flexibility with regard to working hours is required.
