We are looking to hire an experienced Junior Accountant to a busy automotive business in the Athlone area.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Responsibility for the general ledger
- Review and preparation of monthly reconciliations & journals
- Prepare Weekly payroll
- Prepare weekly bank payment file for upload.
- Process payslips.
- Calculate BIK for relevant employees.
- Manage cycle to work scheme.
- Preparation and submission of VAT etc submissions and Revenue payments.
- Overseeing and monitoring the stock control system in the company.
- Attending to all accounting queries in respect of the creditors ledger
- Attending to all accounting queries in respect of the debtors ledger
- Attending to all Bank, Cash and nominal ledger accounts
- Assistance in preparation of year end accounts and management of the year-end statutory accounts.
- Weekly/Monthly performance analysis – vs PY, Vs Budget and keys to execute including insightful commentary
- Assist management team with general office administration and other duties as required
Requirements or Skills:
- Accounting Qualification preferred or part qualified – ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA;
- 2- 3 years’ experience preferably
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organised, adaptable and flexible
- Possessing a high level of professionalism and confidentiality

Pay: €35,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
