Centra Church Street is situated in Athlone. We are looking for a Part Time Deli and Retail Sales Assistant to join our expanding team.
About the Role
As a Deli and Retail Assistant, you will play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience for customers while helping maintain high store standards in a fast-paced retail environment. Serving and making deli items for customers and instore use. Previously deli experience is essential. Responsible for the preparation of high quality hot and cold deli products and for ensuring customer satisfaction is the number one priority.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- HACCP training is desirable but not necessary
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous customer service experience is an advantage
- The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ability to multi task under pressure
- A passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
- Operate the till and handle cash/card payments accurately
- Replenish shelves and ensure products are well presented
- Assist customers with queries and product information
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the store
- Support daily store operations and work as part of a team
- Follow health & safety and food safety procedures

- Previous retail or customer service experience is an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided

Up to 20 hours per week, 7 day roster, days, evenings and weekends
