About Greenhill Fruit Farm
Due to the continued growth and expansion of Greenhill Fruit Farm, we are looking for a skilled Fitter/Fabricator to join our Maintenance team. Greenhill Fruit Farm is one of Ireland's leading soft fruit producers, supplying premium strawberries, raspberries and blackberries to major retailers nationwide. This is a varied, hands-on role working across agricultural machinery, packhouse equipment, vehicles and site infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
* Fabrication and welding of steel components and machinery.
* Maintenance, repair and installation of mechanical equipment.
* Diagnose and repair basic faults on agricultural and packhouse equipment.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
* Repair trailers, conveyors, pumps, hydraulics and other mechanical systems.
* Assist with machinery upgrades, fabrication projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Complete maintenance records accurately.
* Work safely and comply with all Health & Safety procedures.
*Diagnose faults and carry out basic repairs on fleet vehicles, as well as agricultural and heavy machinery.
*Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
*Maintain tractors, forklifts, telehandlers, trailers and other farm equipment.
*Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns during busy production periods.
*Work with the farm management team to schedule servicing and repairs.
*Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a mechanic working on machinery or agricultural equipment desirable.
- Fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics and mechanical systems.
- Strong welding and fabrication skills (MIG/TIG/Arc)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
