Job Title: QC Analyst

Location: Waterford, Ireland

Job type: FTC

About the job

Our Team:

Our Quality Control (QC) team at our Waterford manufacturing site plays a vital role in ensuring that every product we make meets the highest standards of quality and safety — for the benefit of patients around the world. We are a science-driven team working within a current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) environment, where precision, integrity, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. We take pride in our culture of continuous improvement and our commitment to supporting one another to grow, learn, and deliver excellence together.

Main responsibilities:

Carry out analytical testing in a timely and organised manner, following agreed schedules and plans
Perform all tasks in line with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements, including relevant instructions, procedures, and records
Accurately record all raw data, calculations, and related information to meet cGMP and data integrity standards
Ensure you are appropriately trained and qualified for any analytical testing that requires formal qualification before carrying it out
Review quality control data generated by fellow analysts in a timely manner, in line with scheduled plans
Promptly inform your manager of any quality or safety-related events — such as deviations or out-of-specification results — to support appropriate investigation and impact assessment
Actively contribute to investigations you are involved in, helping to ensure thorough root cause analysis and impact assessment
Complete assigned Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) as part of remediation plans and continuous improvement initiatives
Help maintain laboratory facilities and instruments in a safe, clean, and fit-for-purpose condition at all times

About you

Experience: Experience in analytical testing within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environment
Soft skills: Strong attention to detail; collaborative team player with clear and open communication skills; proactive approach to problem-solving; ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively
Technical skills: Working knowledge of cGMP principles and data integrity requirements; familiarity with laboratory instruments and analytical techniques; experience using quality documentation systems
Education: A degree in Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
Languages: Fluency in English
