We are looking for a skilled and reliable Cabinet Maker / Shopfitting Joiner to join our manufacturing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality bespoke cabinetry, counters, displays, fixtures and other joinery items for retail, commercial and hospitality projects.
You will work from detailed drawings and specifications, ensuring all components are manufactured accurately, efficiently and to a high standard before being prepared for installation on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture bespoke cabinets, counters, units, displays, shelving and other shopfitting joinery.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists and specifications.
- Measure, mark out and cut materials accurately.
- Work with materials including MDF, laminates, veneers, plastics and other sheet materials.
- Operate woodworking machinery and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Assemble cabinets, carcasses, doors, drawers and other components.
- Work closely with designers, project managers, fitters and other workshop staff.
- Maintain an organised, clean and safe workshop.
- Follow all company procedures and health & safety requirements.
- Meet agreed production schedules and project deadlines.
- Occasionally attend site to assist with installation, adjustments or finishing where required.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience as a cabinet maker, joiner or furniture maker.
- Strong experience working with sheet materials and bespoke cabinetry.
- Ability to read and work accurately from technical drawings.
- Good knowledge of cabinet construction and joinery methods.
- Competent and confident using woodworking machinery and hand/power tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to produce high-quality finished work within deadlines.
- Good understanding of materials, hardware and finishing techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, organised and committed to producing quality workmanship.
