Full job description

About the Role

We are seeking a bookkeeper, accounts assistant or part-qualified accountant to join our team in a busy and well-established practice.

You will work with a range of clients and gain exposure to accounts preparation, bookkeeping, and client-facing work.

This role is best suited to candidates with hands-on experience in an Irish accountancy practice who are comfortable dealing with clients and managing their own workload. We are open to candidates at different levels depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of accounts to trial balance / draft stage
Bookkeeping, VAT returns and reconciliations
Assisting with management accounts
Supporting year-end accounts and tax work
Liaising with clients and responding to queries
Maintaining accurate financial records

Requirements

Currently studying towards ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) or strong bookkeeping experience
Relevant experience in an Irish accountancy practice
Good knowledge of accounting software (cloud systems preferred)
Strong attention to detail and organisation
Comfortable dealing with clients
Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
