Location: Field-based role – can be based at Cul Na Mona, Portlaoise, or Newbridge/Naas.

As part of our Specialist Rentals ROI team, you’ll join a business that supports customers across the Republic of Ireland with trusted rental solutions through Aerial Platform Hire and Laois Hire. From powered access equipment that helps customers work safely at height, to plant, tools and equipment hire, our teams play an important role in keeping customer sites, projects and operations moving.
We have a new opportunity for a driven and committed Asset Sales Manager to join our team. In this key role, you will lead the commercial sale of ex-hire assets across Laois Hire and Aerial Platform Hire, ensuring each machine is sold through the most effective channel, at the optimal time, and for the highest possible return.
In this role, you will:
- Manage the sale of ex-hire assets across Laois Hire and Aerial Platform Hire.
- Maximise returns by selling assets through the most appropriate channel, including retail, trade, and auction.
- Identify and progress disposal opportunities in line with fleet replacement and utilisation strategies.
- Conduct market research and asset valuations to support pricing and sales decisions.
- Coordinate asset preparation with depot and workshop teams to ensure machines are sale-ready.
- Build strong relationships with buyers, brokers, and auction partners across Ireland and beyond.
- Maintain accurate sales records, valuations, and disposal documentation.
- Ensure all sales are completed in line with company policies, approval processes, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, asset recovery values, and disposal activity.
- Drive commercial decisions that improve fleet quality, utilisation, and return on investment.
- Seek out and negotiate advantageous purchasing, trade-in, and fleet renewal opportunities that support business growth and maximise return on investment.
- Monitor market trends, supplier activity, and residual value performance to influence both buying and selling strategies.
What will help you to excel in this role:
- Proven experience in selling plant, powered access equipment, machinery, vehicles, or hire/rental assets.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to negotiate effectively, maximise asset value, and protect margins.
- Good working knowledge of retail, trade, and auction sales channels.
- Confident using IT systems, including asset management software, Microsoft Office, and online sales platforms.
- Experience working collaboratively with finance, operations, and workshop teams to ensure smooth asset disposal processes.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills with a proactive, results-driven approach.
- Full UK/Irish Driving Licence.
