Full job description

Lafayette Photography, Ireland’s leading photography company, is looking for a Photography Department Assistant.

This is an opportunity to gain experience within a busy office environment, working behind the scenes and see how a large-scale photography company operates.

Key Responsibilities

Processing high volumes of photographs and ensuring that set quality standards are met.
Image editing, cropping, basic adjustments etc. as required.
This is a demanding hands-on role that requires a proactive and decisive, hard-working individual with a positive approach to overcoming issues.

General Administration

Updating of information to company database and transfer of digital files in a safe and secure manner.
Assisting with office administration tasks as required.
Maintaining our database.
Any other ad-hoc duties / projects, including warehouse assistance as required.

Key skills & attributes sought

Basic Photoshop and Microsoft Excel skills are essential. (interview will include a basic Photoshop test)
A technical qualification in photography is desirable.
Must be comfortable with using new technologies, namely internal software package.
Willingness to accept guidance and take ownership when challenges arise.
Must have excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
The ideal candidate would be reliable, a great team worker and a positive, outgoing person. They would be enthusiastic about learning, independent and have strong problem-solving skills.

The role will be office based in Dublin 24, Ballymount, initially working part-time flexible from September till to the 5th of October.

Non-EU applicants will be required to provide proof of their working visa.

Pay: From €15.63 per hour

Expected hours: 7.5 per week

Work Location: In person
