Full job description

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will ensure our buildings and facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. You will handle a variety of general maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and facilities (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.).
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and fix issues before they escalate.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency call-outs.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance logs, and inventory of tools/supplies.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations at all times.
Work independently or as part of a team to support daily operations.
Minor installations, assembly of furniture/equipment, and general handyperson duties.
Keep the premises clean and tidy, including grounds/outdoor areas if required.

Requirements

Proven experience in a maintenance, handyperson, or facilities role (minimum 2 years preferred).
Excellent written and spoken English (for clear communication, reporting, and record-keeping).
Strong practical skills in plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, and general repairs.
Ability to read technical drawings or manuals is a plus.
Full clean driving license and own transport.
Reliable, physically fit, and able to work at heights or in confined spaces when needed.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a "can-do" attitude.
Knowledge of health & safety practices (e.g., manual handling, risk assessments).
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Safe Pass, electrical/plumbing certs) are advantageous but not essential.
