Position : General Operative

Work Schedule :

Monday - Friday. 9am to 5pm.

Location: Fennor Hill Care Facility, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny

General Responsibilities:

Act as onsite contact for all visiting contractors
Perform daily, weekly and monthly audit check on fire systems.
Complete daily, weekly, monthly checklists on maintenance procedures and records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
Repairs, like fixing equipment, and painting of the home as needed.
Monitor Electrical, Plumbing , and Utility needs and advise if repairs are needed.
Resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner or escalate where necessary.
Provide support for events when needed eg. annual parties.
Participate in mandatory trainings, fire Safety, Manual Handling.
Gardening duties, like mowing the lawn, trimming hedges and power hosing when necessary, weeding.
Ensure areas are kept clear and clutter free such as boiler house, storage rooms etc.
Making sure supplies/spare parts are maintained and stocked.
Callouts may be required in Emergency situations.

Skills:

Positive and compassionate person with a can do attitude.
Ability to work from your own initiative as well as completing tasks in a importance based order.
Good time keeping skills and organizational skills necessary.
Someone who works well as a team.
Good communication skills and observational skills.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Maintenance Operative desirable, or construction background.
Experience working in a Healthcare Setting preferable but not essential.
Competency in using power tools and hand tools.
A full clean drivers license.

Pay: From €14.15 per hour
