Job Description:

Encon, a leading Building, Retrofit & Renewables Contractor in Ireland, continues to expand its delivery of high-quality retrofit and energy efficiency projects across the South and South East Regions. As part of this growth, Encon is seeking a Roofer to support Solar PV Installations, domestic retrofit and energy upgrade programmes across multiple schemes and standards.

This role plays a key role in delivering energy-efficiency improvements to residential properties while supporting national sustainability and climate action objectives.

Role Overview

Lead Roofer is a site-based role responsible for the safe and effective installation of Solar PV Panels and Roof Ventilation in domestic and commercial properties. The role includes overseeing a small installation team while ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with SEAI technical standards and all relevant health and safety regulations.

This position involves on-site installation, proper assessment of installations, quality control, team coordination, and customer interactions, while working closely with internal teams to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out pre-installation and post-installation checks and assessments
Ensure all works are completed in line with SEAI requirements
Operate equipment and tools safely
Maintain a clean and safe work environment on all job sites
Communicate professionally with customers and team members
Complete job documentation, including photos and reports where required

Requirements

Full clean driving licence (essential)
Valid Safe Pass (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
Manual Handling certification (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
Previous experience in Solar PV Panels and/of Roof Ventilation
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Physically fit and comfortable working on-site
Good level of written and spoken English
