Job Title: Warehouse & Purchasing Manager at Busch Vacuum Solutions
Position Summary: The Warehouse & Purchasing Manager at Busch Vacuum Solutions is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations and procurement activities. This role ensures the smooth and efficient flow of inventory, from purchase through to storage and dispatch, and plays a critical part in maintaining the supply chain and supporting the manufacturing output of the company.
Location: Naas, Co. Kildare, with initial training in our current Dublin location until we move in October
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement warehouse management and purchasing strategies to optimize operations and reduce costs.
- Oversee the procurement of stock, equipment, and supplies required for daily operations.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure advantageous terms.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the warehouse to ensure efficient inventory management and order fulfilment.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stocking, receiving, and shipping of products.
- Coordinate with the sales aftersales and systems departments to forecast demand and prepare purchasing plans.
- Implement and maintain warehouse management systems to track inventory, orders, and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal guidelines in all purchasing and warehouse operations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers and make recommendations for improvement.
- Manage budgets for purchasing and warehouse activities and report to senior management on performance metrics.
- Ensure the warehouse operates in accordance with health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse management and procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or technical environment.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control systems.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favourable terms.
- Forklift license and all required safety courses
- Proficiency in modern warehouse management software and tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
- This position operates in both an office setting and a warehouse environment, which may include exposure to warehouse conditions such as noise and temperature variations.
- Regular full-time working hours with the possibility of overtime and weekend work as required by the business needs.
