About the Role
Euromotive Energy designs, installs, services and supports vehicle, marine and off-grid energy systems throughout Ireland.
We're looking for an Energy Systems Technician to join our growing team. This is a varied, hands-on role based primarily in our Carrick-on-Shannon facility, with regular travel to customer sites for installations, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding.
No two days are the same. One day you could be building a complete off-grid power system in the workshop, the next commissioning a vehicle installation, diagnosing a charging fault on-site or helping a customer troubleshoot a technical issue.
You'll work with industry-leading products including Victron Energy, lithium battery systems, solar charging systems, inverter systems and vehicle power installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission and service vehicle, marine and off-grid energy systems
- Build and install 12V, 24V and 48V DC electrical systems
- Install battery storage, inverter and solar charging systems
- Configure, commission and update Victron Energy equipment and associated monitoring systems
- Diagnose and fault-find electrical and charging system issues
- Carry out off site system builds, with occasional on-site installation and service work
- Provide technical support to customers and colleagues when required
- Produce neat, professional installations to company standards
- Complete commissioning records, service reports, photographs and job documentation
- Follow company health & safety procedures and safe working practices
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Practical hands-on experience with electrical, power or technical systems — e.g. vehicle electrics, marine, renewable energy, or industrial electrical work
- Experience installing or fault-finding electrical systems
- Ability to read wiring diagrams or electrical schematics and confidently use a multimeter for testing and fault-finding
- Good understanding of 12V, 24V and 48V DC electrical systems
- Full clean driving licence
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team, with confidence to work independently on occasional site visits
Desirable
- Experience with Victron Energy systems
- Solar or battery storage experience
- Marine or vehicle electrical experience
- Auto electrical, renewable energy or electrical trade background
- Experience commissioning electrical systems

Work Location & Eligibility
This role is based in Carrick-on-Shannon and is primarily workshop-based, with occasional travel to customer sites throughout Ireland.
