Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant – Bluestack Vets, Donegal

Bluestack Vets is looking for a reliable, organised and friendly Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our team in Donegal.

This is a varied role combining day-to-day bookkeeping with general administrative support. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with figures, has excellent attention to detail and can help keep the administrative side of our busy veterinary practice running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

● Day-to-day bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records

● Processing invoices, payments and receipts

● Bank reconciliations and account administration

● Managing accounts payable and receivable

● Assisting with payroll and financial reporting

● Liaising with our accountant, suppliers and other service providers as required

● Maintaining organised records and filing systems

● General office and administrative duties

● Answering phone calls and responding to emails

● Supporting the wider Bluestack Vets team with day-to-day administration

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

● Have previous bookkeeping, accounts or relevant administrative experience

● Be confident using accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

● Have strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail

● Be comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities

● Be trustworthy and able to handle confidential information appropriately

● Have good communication and interpersonal skills

● Be able to work independently while also being part of a busy, friendly team

Experience working in a veterinary, medical or similar practice would be an advantage, but is not essential

Pay: From €16.00 per hour
