The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring compliance with statutory and tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
This is a hands-on role suited to an ambitious accountant who enjoys working in a dynamic international business. The position offers significant exposure across all areas of finance and provides an excellent opportunity to develop within a growing global organisation.
Your key accountabilities include:
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts for the Group
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities
- Assist with consolidated financial reporting
- Support cash flow forecasting and reporting
Financial Operations
- · Process and review journals, accruals and prepayments
- · Review and reconcile intercompany balances
- · Perform foreign currency revaluations
- · Monitor fixed asset registers
- · Support accounts payable and receivable functions where required
- · Assist with payroll reconciliations
Budgeting & Analysis
- Support the annual budgeting process
- Assist with forecasting and variance analysis
- Produce cost analysis reports for management
- Analyse project profitability and operational performance
- Provide financial information to support commercial decision making
Compliance
- Prepare VAT returns and statutory filings
- Assist with annual audit preparation
- Liaise with external auditors, accountants and tax advisers
- Ensure compliance with company financial controls and accounting policies
- Support compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes
- Assist in developing reporting dashboards
- Support implementation of new finance systems and automation initiatives
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the finance function
Skills and qualifications
Essential
- ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified (or finalist nearing qualification)
- 3-6 years' experience in industry or practice
- Strong financial accounting knowledge
- Experience preparing monthly management accounts
- Excellent reconciliation skills
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting support
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
- High attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Exposure to project accounting or professional services
Desirable
- Experience working within an international business
- Knowledge of multi-currency accounting
- Experience preparing consolidated accounts
- Knowledge of VAT across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience with Xero, Projectworks (or similar accounting packages)
Pay: €45,457.96-€60,000.00 per year
