Full-Time Personal Trainer / Performance Coach

Ballincollig, Cork
Full-time, permanent
€34,000 per year, with progression opportunities

One Arena is hiring a full-time Personal Trainer / Performance Coach to become a key part of our coaching team in Ballincollig.

This is an employed coaching position for someone who wants to build a long-term career in the fitness industry. You will coach small-group personal training sessions, support members throughout their journey and help maintain a professional, positive and high-performing club environment.

You do not need previous management experience. We are looking for a dependable and ambitious coach who can become a strong full-time presence in the club and gradually take on greater responsibility as they develop.

What you will do

Deliver high-quality small-group personal training sessions.
Coach strength and conditioning sessions for members of different abilities.
Welcome, onboard and support new members.
Build strong relationships with members.
Conduct member check-ins, progress reviews and goal-setting conversations.
Follow up with members and support attendance and retention.
Maintain high standards across coaching, cleanliness and the member experience.
Complete agreed administrative and member-care responsibilities.
Contribute positively to the coaching team and club culture.
Participate in ongoing coaching development and CPD.

What we are looking for

A recognised Personal Training qualification, or equivalent.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Confidence coaching and engaging with groups.
A genuine interest in strength training and helping people improve.
Reliability, professionalism and personal accountability.
A willingness to receive feedback and continue developing.
The ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
The legal right to work full-time in Ireland.
Reliable transport to Ballincollig for early-morning, evening and Saturday shifts.

Previous personal training, coaching or customer-facing experience is strongly preferred. However, we will also consider an exceptional newly qualified coach who demonstrates strong communication skills, professionalism and genuine commitment to developing a career in the industry.

Small-group personal training experience is beneficial but not essential, as structured onboarding and development will be provided.

Working hours

This is a full-time position.

The role will include a combination of:

Early-morning shifts.
Daytime responsibilities.
Evening shifts.
Some Saturdays.
Occasional work at another One Arena Cork location when required.

Applicants must be comfortable working a fitness-industry schedule, including a combination of mornings and evenings.

A management title is not automatically attached to this position. However, the successful candidate will have a genuine opportunity to take on senior and leadership responsibilities as they prove themselves within the role.
