About the Role
Euromotive Energy specialises in the design, installation, servicing and support of vehicle, marine and off-grid energy systems throughout Ireland.
We're looking for a Junior Energy Systems Technician to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building and installing high-quality electrical systems and wants to develop into an experienced Energy Systems Technician. You'll receive structured on-the-job training while working alongside experienced technicians on a wide variety of vehicle, marine and off-grid power systems.
Based primarily in our Carrick-on-Shannon workshop, you'll help build and install complete power systems while assisting with customer installations, commissioning and servicing as required.
As your experience grows, you'll gradually take on more responsibility, developing your commissioning, fault-finding and technical support skills with the opportunity to progress into an Energy Systems Technician role.
You'll work with industry-leading products including Victron Energy, lithium battery systems, solar charging systems, inverter systems and vehicle power installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, commissioning and servicing of vehicle, marine and off-grid energy systems
- Build and install 12V, 24V and 48V DC electrical systems
- Install batteries, inverters and solar charging equipment
- Assist with workshop-based system builds, testing and quality checks
- Assist experienced technicians with customer installations and site visits
- Learn commissioning, diagnostics and fault-finding techniques
- Produce neat, professional wiring and cable installations
- Complete installation records, photographs and job documentation
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop
- Follow company health & safety procedures and safe working practices
What We're Looking For Essential
- Practical hands-on experience working with electrical, mechanical or technical systems
- Good practical skills and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of DC electrical systems or a willingness to learn
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Full clean B driving licence

- Relevant electrical or mechanical qualifications

Work Location & Eligibility
This role is based in Carrick-on-Shannon and is primarily workshop-based, with occasional travel to customer sites throughout Ireland.
Applicants must currently live in Ireland or be able to relocate immediately and must have the legal right to work in Ireland. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to provide visa or work permit sponsorship.
