Job Overview: Relief Social Care Worker
St. Aidan's Services are looking for suitably qualified and motivated Relief Social Care Workers to join our Relief panel to provide supports across our range of services. Our Relief Social Care Workers role will promote and deliver safe person centred care, ensuring regulatory and contract compliance.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who have successfully completed their third year in Social Care with ongoing enrolment in the fourth year who have a genuine interest in gaining valuable experience and in pursuing a career in the ID sector.
Due to future service developments & increased required supports, there is current/future potential across our services for Relief/Social Care Workers for career advancement and full-time employment opportunities.

Have a knowledge of HiQA & regulations

To participate in the delivery of training services as required.

Assist each individual with advice, instruction and support where appropriate.

Assisting/supporting with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.

Ensure that you work in a positive manner and professionally contribute to your staff team and wider organisation

Maintain folders, written reports and risk assessments.

Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Ensure all other practices are in place to Safeguard individuals medications and monies are exercised accordingly, as per policy

Adhere to all policies, procedures, regulations and working practices of the organisation

Hold a Level 7 Qualification in Social Care (Foreign Equivalent validated by QQI)
-
Have at least three months experience of working with adults with an intellectual disability.

Must hold a full clean driving licence and be willing to drive company vehicle
