The Junior Production / Manufacturing Engineer will support the production and engineering teams by creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation, drawings, models and assembly information.
The role will primarily involve working with Creo and Microsoft Office, with opportunities to develop further manufacturing engineering skills and take on additional responsibilities.
Requirements
Creo
Must be proficient in PTC Creo, including:
- 3D part and assembly modelling
- Engineering drawings
- Weldment drawings
- Exploded views
- Assembly and manufacturing documentation
Microsoft Office
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Outlook
- Other Microsoft applications as required
Experience
- Some real-world engineering or manufacturing experience is required.
- This could include previous employment, an engineering placement, apprenticeship or relevant work experience.
- A practical understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings would be advantageous.
Software & Systems
- Experience working with a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system such as PTC Windchill would be an advantage, but is not essential.
- The ability and willingness to learn and work with new software and computer systems is highly desirable.
- An adaptable approach to learning new engineering and manufacturing software is beneficial.
Planned Tasks
Immediate Responsibilities
- Create and update bending drawings.
- Create weldment drawings and associated work instructions.
- Create drawings for machined parts.
- Produce exploded views for assembly and instruction manuals.
- Correct and update bolts and other hardware within Creo models.
- Update existing drawings and models to reflect manufacturing requirements.
- Assist with general engineering and production documentation as required.
Future Responsibilities
As experience and knowledge of the company's products and manufacturing processes develops, responsibilities will expand to include:
- Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Creating assembly instructions.
- Developing and maintaining manufacturing documentation.
- Supporting improvements to manufacturing processes.
- Assisting with the standardisation of drawings and production documentation.
- Working with production to identify and resolve drawing or manufacturing issues.
- Supporting engineering projects and continuous improvement activities.
Development
The role is intended to provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop from a junior engineering position into a broader Production / Manufacturing Engineering role, gaining practical experience in design, manufacturing, documentation and production processes.
Pay: €29,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
