ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a warm, professional and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our Front of House Team at Bridge House Hotel.
As the first point of contact for all our guests, you will play a key role in providing and ensuring an overall exceptional and memorable experience for all visitors and guests to our hotel.
As a receptionist, you will be responsible for ensuring every guest receives a warm, friendly and efficient service from arrival through to departure. You will work closely with all hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome all guests and visitors in a friendly, professional and engaging manner
- Complete guest check-ins and check-outs
- Manage guest reservations, amendments and cancellations
- Answer telephone and email enquiries promptly and professionally
- Respond to guests queries and promptly and efficiently
- Process payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
- Provide guests with information about the hotel and hotel facilities attractions and amenities
- Handle any potential issues before they escalate when necessary
- Coordinate with key stakeholders and departments regarding guest requirements such as Housekeeping, Maintenance and Food and Beverage
Key Skills & Requirements
- 1-year minimum previous experience in a hotel reception or customer service role
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong technical skills
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience using hotel property management systems (for eg: Hotsoft)
- Local knowledge of the Midlands area and visitor attractions
