The successful candidate will provide OT cybersecurity oversight throughout the design, implementation, testing and commissioning of new infrastructure and enhanced control systems. Working alongside internal engineering teams, system integrators, equipment vendors and project stakeholders, they will ensure that cybersecurity requirements are appropriately considered and implemented as new equipment and systems are introduced into the operational environment.
This is a project-focused role involving the review of technical and design documentation, assessment of proposed control-system architectures, participation in design reviews, and attendance at Factory Acceptance Testing and on-site testing and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities

Assess the secure integration of new equipment into existing OT networks and operational environments.
-
Participate in design reviews and provide practical cybersecurity guidance to project teams, system integrators and equipment vendors.
-
Review network segmentation, firewall requirements, remote-access arrangements, user access controls and system-hardening measures.
-
Attend and witness Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing and commissioning activities.
-
Verify that agreed cybersecurity controls and requirements have been implemented and appropriately tested.
-
Identify cybersecurity risks, design gaps and non-conformances, and support their resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
-
Review supplier and system-integrator cybersecurity deliverables and challenge proposed solutions where necessary.
-
Support the development and review of cybersecurity test protocols, risk assessments and system handover documentation.
-
Ensure project solutions align with the organisation's OT cybersecurity standards and relevant frameworks, including IEC 62443, NIS2, ISO 27001 and NIST.
-
Work closely with engineering, operations, IT, OT and cybersecurity stakeholders to ensure new systems can be safely transitioned into the live operational environment.

Experience reviewing control-system designs, network architectures and technical specifications.
-
Understanding of OT network segmentation, industrial firewalls, secure remote access, access control, system hardening and cybersecurity monitoring.
-
Experience supporting engineering projects through design, FAT, SAT, commissioning and handover.
-
Working knowledge of IEC 62443 and other relevant cybersecurity standards and frameworks.
-
Ability to assess technical designs, identify cybersecurity risks and communicate practical recommendations to engineering teams and vendors.
