A Day in The Life Of:

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Apply human performance principles, methodologies, and technologies to the design of human-machine systems and products.
Support activities for the product lifecycle support including customer needs identification, user profiles, task analysis, user interface design, usability testing, hazard analysis, design verification, design validation, and post-launch outcomes analysis
Develops and implements research methodologies to test and evaluate prototypes used in all phases of products development.
Designs and executes user research to simulate product use for the purposes of concept selection/refinement, requirements development, use-related risk identification and formal usability validation with intended users.
Interfaces with cross-functional engineers and internal partners to create and build system design and ensure optimized human-machine interfaces with its accessories and environment.
Identifies and analyzes technological problems or risks, performs theoretical human factors investigations, and develops and implements research and analysis plans.

Key Skills & Experience

Must Have

Bachelor’s degree (Level 8 NFQ) in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of the application of various human factors/usability engineering principles and tools in the design, development, and evaluation of hardware and software products brought to market.
Ability to integrate creative skills with innovative problem-solving techniques to develop design concepts.
Experience creating Interactive Graphical prototypes (wireframe) using Figma.
Experience designing and validating Software Human Computer Interfaces.
Experience conducting user research or observational research and usability studies.
Strong oral and written technical communication skills.
Embraces change.
Ability to work independently with limited guidance and develop comprehensive plans and solutions to complex issues.
Strong negotiation, conflict management, and influence management skills.
Have a working knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
Knowledge of product development processes based on IEC 62366.
Experience integrating human factors engineering into a product development process.
Up to 20% travel required.
