We are currently recruiting a Pricing Sophistication Analyst for our Pricing, Underwriting & Customer Analytics Department.
Reporting to the Rick Pricing and Sophistication Manager, your role will be to support the pricing function within AXA Ireland to achieve overall financial targets for all classes of business / channels / territories written by AXA Ireland.

You'll work majority of your week away from home. Away from home means either attendance at one of our head office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
You will work in a team of analysts and actuaries, while your main responsibilities will include:

Develop and implement advanced statistical and machine learning models to support pricing and portfolio optimization

Design analytical solutions that improve our understanding of customer behavior and business performance

Identify opportunities within large datasets and translate them into commercially valuable insights

Design, test and enhance predictive algorithms using modern modelling techniques

Work with cross-functional teams to deploy models into production and continuously improve their performance

Communicate complex statistical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Contribute to the evolution of pricing methodologies, modelling standards and analytical best practice
- Participate in projects between pricing departments in other AXA entities.
About You:

Must hold a numerical degree in Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or Computer Sciences, a Masters in these areas would be beneficial but not a requirement.

2+ years’ work experience in a similar quantitative role.

Proven proficiency in Python, R and machine learning techniques.

Proficient in using code or analytical tools for modelling, visualisation, data manipulation and processing.

Experience with a version control system (e.g. Git).

Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure/AWS preferable.

Detailed oriented, problem-solver and solution focused with proven ability to deliver, prioritising and organising workload.

Highly motivated, autonomous, innovative, pragmatic and able to apply known or new techniques.

Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.

Able to apply analytical problem solving, make recommendations, and implement improvements continuously in a dynamic environment.

Awareness of the overall compliance to Health & Safety, IT Security, and all legislation/compliance in Pricing department
