Role Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Electronics & Automation Engineer to drive production efficiency and technical quality on our manufacturing floor. In this role, you will be responsible for translating custom sign designs into functional hardware. This includes managing the assembly of electronic subsystems, configuring control architectures, programming automated diagnostic test benches, and resolving complex technical faults during the fabrication process.
Key Responsibilities1. Manufacturing Assembly & Subsystem Integration
- Oversee the integration and wiring of complex internal electronics for LED signs, including DC power distributions (5V/12V/24V), multiplexed logic circuits, and control cards.
- Configure, program, and calibrate automation hardware, including light-dependent photodiodes (LDRs) for automatic dimming, thermal monitoring probes, and remote data links.
- Set up and link asynchronous and synchronous control systems (e.g., Novastar, HD, Linnos) to enable cloud management or direct POS communication interfaces.
2. Automated Testing & Quality Assurance (QA)
- Design and build automated testing rigs and loop scripts to stress-test newly manufactured signs before final enclosure fabrication.
- Conduct systematic quality assurance audits on finished LED display modules, validating pixel uniformity, color calibration, refresh rates, and power consumption specs.
- Enforce rigorous electrical safety testing (including PAT testing) and structural compliance standards.
3. Component-Level Rework & Diagnostics
- Perform fast, highly accurate fault-finding on production-line dropouts, using schematic diagrams, digital multimeters, and oscilloscopes to trace hardware failures.
- Execute high-quality soldering and SMD (Surface Mount Device) rework on PCBs, control cards, and broken LED arrays to minimize component waste.
- Work collaboratively with the product design team to identify repetitive hardware bugs and implement engineering changes to the manufacturing process.
Required Qualifications & Technical Skills
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
- Industrial Automation: Strong grasp of serial and network communication architectures: RS232, RS485, I2C, Modbus, TCP/IP, and wireless RF links.
- Hardware Competence: Proven experience working with bench power supplies, multimeters, logic analyzers, and advanced soldering equipment.
- Control Systems: Experience configuring smart LED drivers, controllers, and multiplexers used in digital video or numeric layouts.
- Software Literacy: Competence with LED display configuration software, firmware flashing utilities, and basic script or PLC code adjustments.
Preferred Attributes
- 2+ years of direct experience in an electronics assembly, control panel building, or digital hardware manufacturing environment.
- A methodical, precise approach to hardware wiring layout and schematic compliance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental coordination between fabrication teams and engineering.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary aligned with your manufacturing and engineering experience.
- Direct involvement in the end-to-end production of signs deployed across major national infrastructure.
- A well-equipped engineering workbench with exposure to industry-leading LED control architectures and smart IoT hardware.
