Regulatory Risk Manager
As a Regulatory Risk Manager RC&A, you will shape the future of how our organization understands, governs and acts on current and emerging regulation. By redefining the way DLL deals with a complex regulatory environment and putting regulatory excellence into practice, you will be enabling better, faster, and more confident business decisions, balancing growth with disciplined risk-taking. You will act as a trusted partner to senior leadership, steering global regulatory horizon scanning with precision and insight, ensuring our regulatory change and adherence processes are robust, proactive and proportional. At the same time, you will champion innovation—leveraging emerging technologies and AI to simplify complexity, enhance transparency, and unlock smarter, quicker decision making.
Your Mission
Guide and deliver robust regulatory change and adherence processes, helping the organisation stay proactive, compliant, and resilient in a changing environment. Leverage RegTech to ensure timely but effective identification and implementation of regulation at all levels of the bank.
Lead and evolve the global regulatory change and adherence framework, ensuring it is clear, effective, and aligned with our purpose, strategy, and values.
Collaborate and engage with key stakeholders in Rabobank and across DLL’s regional network.
Define and embed a meaningful regulatory risk management strategy that guides consistent understanding and accountability for regulation, policy and control across the organisation.
Drive a strategic initiative to unlock improvement opportunities across the end-to-end RC&A process, design a future-ready operating model, and ensure successful implementation across the organization.
Lead and steer DLL’s Regulatory Oversight Committee
Monitor and report on the level of adherence to applicable regulations on an aggregated Group level through existing Risk Control Framework structures
Oversee and enhance global regulatory risk reporting, ensuring insights are timely, accurate, and accessible to support transparent and inclusive decision-making.
Set and cascade policy documents, ensuring governance alignment and approvals, develop a monitoring and control framework, including ownership, reporting structures, and timelines and define RCF control requirements for local processes and ensure alignment with broader governance initiatives
Inspire and develop a diverse, high-performing team by fostering a culture of collaboration, curiosity, accountability, and continuous learning.
Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders globally to build shared ownership of risk and encourage constructive challenge and open dialogue.
Champion innovation by exploring and applying emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to simplify processes and improve outcomes.
Promote flexibility and adaptability in how work is delivered, enabling the team to respond effectively to evolving priorities and opportunities.
Skills and Capabilities Required
10+ years of experience in Risk Management, Regulatory Management or Governance function with a bank, Financial Services consulting, or regulatory body.
Understanding of regulatory requirements for Risk Governance and Corporate Governance globally
Experience in managing and driving senior governance forums
Experience working with, influencing and growing diverse and remote teams.
Strong executive presence with success influencing, facilitating, and partnering at these levels
Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
Superior writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and policy interpretations through concise and clear messaging
Excellent complex problem solving, organizational, and time management skills. Previous experience in project management a plus.
High attention to detail, proactive, proven ability to drive results, work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to quickly learn new concepts and pick up business knowledge
