Reporting to the Portfolio & Data Manager, you will support portfolio management, due diligence, reporting and data operations for Dogpatch Labs and the programmes we deliver, including NDRC, HBAN and Corporate Partnerships. Your work will underpin data-driven decision-making across the organisation, ensuring accuracy of our data and providing insights to internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
1. Portfolio Due Diligence
- Act as primary operational contributor to the Accelerator due diligence process
- Gather and validate information on applicant companies, including data sourced from the Companies Registration Office
- Follow up on outstanding documentation and keep stakeholders informed throughout
- Prepare due diligence reports and recommendations for review and sign-off by the Portfolio & Data Manager
- Maintain and update due diligence process documentation and Standard Operating Procedures
2. Portfolio Reporting & Analysis
- Collect, validate and consolidate data for Quarterly and Annual Reports, managing the drafting process
- Prepare board-level reporting and updates
- Produce reporting and data updates for the NDRC Liaison Committee
- Support 200+ portfolio companies and internal teams with data collection and analysis
- Produce ad hoc reports and analysis for teams across the organisation
3. Dashboards & Data Visualisation
- Build, maintain and enhance operational dashboards supporting Early Stage Supports and the Accelerator due diligence process
- Prepare data visualisations for internal teams and external stakeholders
- Translate raw data into actionable insights to inform decision-making
4. Investment Documentation
- Maintain accurate investment documentation across digital and physical files, ensuring audit compliance
- Process and review investment documentation for portfolio companies, ensuring records are complete and current
- Support review and coordination of transaction documentation under the oversight of the Portfolio & Data Manager
5. Systems, Databases & CRM
- Own and maintain multiple operational databases, keeping them synchronised and ensuring data quality for reporting and investment decisions
- Maintain and improve data systems, resolving errors and ensuring data integrity
- Maintain CRM records, ensuring accuracy and structure
- Document data processes and ensure consistency across systems
- Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to automation and operational improvements
- Provide occasional basic IT support
Requirements
- Third-level qualification in a business, analytical or related discipline; experience or demonstrated aptitude in a data-focused role
- Experience or demonstrated aptitude in collecting, organising, validating and consolidating data from multiple sources
- Strong spreadsheet competency (Google Sheets) and working knowledge of Google Workspace
- Experience preparing reports and supporting recurring reporting cycles
- Experience maintaining databases and data systems, including resolving errors and ensuring data integrity
- Working knowledge of CRM systems and no-code tools such as Airtable and Jotform
- High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in documentation maintained to audit standard
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present data clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Desirable
- Experience in venture capital, accelerator, or startup ecosystem environments
- Familiarity with due diligence processes
- Experience with Attio CRM
What You'll Work On
- Portfolio Management: 200+ companies ranging from Pre-Seed to Series C scale-ups. You will liaise with founders and support the Manager in executing transactions from start to finish.
- Due Diligence: Running the operational side of the Accelerator due diligence process, from information gathering through to reports and recommendations.
- Data Systems: Maintaining and enhancing the databases and operational systems that underpin portfolio reporting and investment decisions.
- Programmes: Supporting data collection, analysis and reporting across our pre-accelerators, founder weekends, mentoring sessions and other early-stage programmes.
