Role Purpose
As an IT Programme Manager, you'll lead the successful delivery of complex, enterprise-wide technology programmes that support Musgrave's strategic objectives. You'll bring structure, clarity, and leadership to multiple workstreams, ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Leading a team of Project Managers, you'll work closely with business leaders, IT teams, suppliers, and the Change Management Office (CMO) to drive successful outcomes, embed best practice, and ensure the benefits of change are realised across the organisation.
This role is ideal for an experienced programme leader who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

What you'll be doing
- Lead the mobilisation, governance, and delivery of major strategic IT programmes and portfolios.
- Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to a team of Project Managers, enabling high performance and successful delivery.
- Build strong partnerships with senior business stakeholders to ensure programmes align with organisational priorities and deliver measurable business value.
- Manage programme scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and benefits throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Balance strategic priorities with day-to-day delivery, ensuring both the bigger picture and operational detail remain in focus.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including internal colleagues, technology partners, and third-party suppliers.
- Manage programme resource planning, capacity, and future demand across multiple initiatives.
- Oversee supplier performance and contract delivery in partnership with the Vendor Management Office (VMO).
- Champion effective governance, reporting, and decision-making through clear communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Work closely with the Change Management Office to continually improve delivery methodologies, governance, and change management practices.
- Support the ongoing development of the Project Management community through mentoring, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a confident and experienced programme leader with a strong track record of delivering complex technology programmes and leading high-performing teams.
You'll bring:
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.
- A recognised Project Management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
- Agile certification (Scrum.org, SAFe, ICAgile, AgilePM, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in project and programme management, including leading large-scale, business-critical technology initiatives.
- Proven success delivering programmes using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience managing complex portfolios, multiple workstreams, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong commercial awareness, including supplier and contract management.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at executive level.
- Strong financial, risk, governance, and resource management capabilities.
- A strategic mindset combined with the ability to drive execution and deliver measurable business outcomes.
