International Tax Assistant Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious International Tax Assistant Manager to join our growing International Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of multinational clients, supporting them with their global tax compliance obligations and advising on a broad range of international tax matters.

Working closely with directors and partners, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services while developing strong client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

Assisting with managing the corporate tax compliance process, including tax reporting, for a portfolio of multinational clients.
Supporting global clients with their international tax compliance requirements.
Assisting with international tax advisory and structuring projects.
Liaising with the Grant Thornton international network to coordinate cross-border client work and respond to technical queries.
Identifying tax planning opportunities and providing practical commercial solutions.
Undertaking technical research on complex international tax matters.
Preparing reports, technical advice and client correspondence.
Assisting with proposals, tenders and business development opportunities.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues across the international network.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have:

CTA qualified (ACA or ACCA qualification desirable).
At least 2-3 years' post-qualification experience within a corporate tax department of a professional services firm.
Strong technical knowledge of corporation tax legislation and international tax principles.
Experience working with multinational groups or internationally focused businesses.
Tax reporting experience, including a good understanding of deferred tax and tax accounting, would be advantageous.
Knowledge of intellectual property regimes and Research & Development tax incentives would be beneficial.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to build trusted client relationships.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
