About the Role
We are currently looking for experienced Steel Fixers to join our growing team for ongoing construction projects in Cork and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and skilled professionals to work on high-quality commercial and residential developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret reinforcement drawings and bending schedules.
- Cut, bend and fix reinforcing steel bars and mesh.
- Assemble and install steel reinforcement for concrete structures.
- Tie reinforcement using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Ensure reinforcement is installed according to specifications and engineering drawings.
- Work safely and maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Collaborate with site managers, engineers and other trades to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Steel Fixer.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Valid Safe Pass
- Manual Handling Certificate
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Own transport is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong work ethic, reliability and punctuality.
