What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Python Developer, you will be responsible for building and managing software solutions for next-generation storage systems while working directly with cutting-edge hardware in a lab environment. You will collaborate with global engineering teams to develop, test, and optimize system components using technologies such as Python, NVMe-oF, and modern microservices architectures.
You will:
Software Development (80%)

Build and maintain Python microservices using FastAPI, Pydantic, and async/await patterns

Develop DataPath Manager (DPM) for NVMe-oF configuration and backend management (Python)

Create iDRAC/BMC integration services for Dell server management

Troubleshoot software layer issues (API misbehaviors, race conditions, bugs)

Maintain the update flows for software and firmware
Hardware Operations (20%)

Install and rack Trumpet DAE (Drive Array Enclosure) chassis with the support from Lab Technicians

Configure NVMe SSDs, PCIe extenders, and networking (e.g. lossless Ethernet, RoCEv2)

Manage product servers via iDRAC and Redfish

Troubleshoot physical layer issues (cabling, power, incopabilities between SW and HW)

Perform hardware replacements and FRU swaps (also possibly owning a FRU design

Essential Requirements

Strong experience with Python (3.11+), FastAPI, Pydantic, asyncio, REST APIs, and microservices architecture

Experience with Docker, Git, pytest, ruff, and mypy for development, testing, and code quality

Solid understanding of Linux systems and software development fundamentals

Experience with storage technologies including NVMe, NVMe-oF, and hardware management APIs such as Redfish and iDRAC/BMC
-
Knowledge of data center technologies including PCIe (Gen4/Gen5), networking protocols (Ethernet, RoCEv2, RDMA, IPv6, DHCP, DNS-SD, LLDP) and hardware setup
Desirable Requirements

Experience with Linux kernel or driver development, RDMA, SPDK

Familiarity with advanced hardware diagnostics, IPMI, AI-assisted development tools
