We offer a competitive starting salary of €93,600.00 for this role, with salary adjustments reflecting your experience level and expertise. .

Key skills and prior experience that align well with this position
Qualified actuary with substantial professional experience and sound knowledge of the Life (re)insurance industry, with the ability to apply that knowledge in commercial situations- Financial reporting expertise, particularly in Solvency II, USGAAP/LDTI, and/or IFRS17 reporting
- Leadership and project management capability, with proven experience managing teams and/or complex projects
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues, combined with a collaborative mindset across multi-disciplinary teams
Deliver core actuarial advisory projects across pricing, reserving, product development, domestic actuarial regime peer reviews, risk management, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting (including IFRS17, LDTI, and Solvency II frameworks)- Lead multi-disciplinary engagements in adjacent fields such as ESG, merger and acquisition projects, due diligence, audits, and enterprise risk management—collaborating with audit, finance, consulting, and risk advisory teams
- Support actuarial teams undertaking reserving and review work in respect of the Head of Actuarial Function role
- Maintain and grow client relationships by understanding their business needs, proactively identifying opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service delivery
- Contribute to practice management, including recruitment, coaching, mentoring, and performance appraisals
- Drive practice growth through internal and external networking, participation in research activities, and preparation of new business proposals
- Enhance market eminence by supporting Deloitte initiatives in crafting educational materials on emerging regulatory trends, particularly ESG
Frank O’Regan is a finance leader with 20 years of insurance experience spanning regulatory, financial reporting, product development, and capital optimisation. He brings an international perspective with deep expertise across EMEA insurance and finance markets and large multinational organisations. Frank’s recent focus has been on strategy, complex programme delivery, and transformational change—particularly in AI assurance, where he is helping organisations move models from concept into real workflows and ensuring they behave as intended within the right parameters. A Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland (SAI) and CFA Charterholder, Frank leads with a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset, driven by curiosity and a commitment to challenging established norms and continuous improvement.
This role is based in Dublin at 3 Park Place, Hatch Street, Dublin 2. We operate a hybrid working strategy that allows you to flex between office and home working in response to your needs and those of our clients. The ARA team is fully aligned to this approach and open to flexible working patterns, including term-time and part-time arrangements.
