Mission:
As a Business Development Manager within our Services Division, you will be at the forefront of our sales efforts, directly engaging with new and existing customers to promote and sell our full suite of services. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets by building and maintaining strong customer relationships, understanding customer needs, and providing tailored service solutions.
This is a remote role with frequent travel across Ireland required to engage directly with customers and support the development of strategic relationships.
Responsibilities:
Sales Execution
-
Develop and execute a sales plan for new business by researching, targeting, and developing opportunities within key market sectors.

Proactively generate a pipeline of new business opportunities and manage them through CRM (Salesforce) to successful closure.

Understand customer requirements and propose service solutions that meet or exceed expectations.

Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to support business growth and customer success.

Achieve and exceed sales targets for service contracts and recurring revenue opportunities.
Service Promotion
-
Develop, maintain, and expand long-term service agreements with new and existing customers.

Identify opportunities for digital services, EcoStruxure solutions, and consultancy offerings.

Promote the full range of Schneider Electric's service portfolio, including maintenance, automation, energy management, and digital solutions.

Educate customers on the value of service solutions in improving efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
Customer Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key decision-makers.

Travel regularly to customer sites across Ireland for meetings and business development activities.

Ensure all customer interactions reflect Schneider Electric's commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
Reporting & Analysis

Provide regular updates on sales activity, customer feedback, and market trends.

Use CRM tools to manage leads, track opportunities, and analyse sales performance.
Team Collaboration

Work closely with colleagues across sales, technical support, and project delivery teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and industry events to maintain product and market knowledge.
Skills & Attributes:

Experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within energy, automation, electrical, industrial, or technical services environments.

Technical sales background with experience in B2B business development.

Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.

Customer-focused approach with the ability to build and develop long-term relationships.

Strong understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, opportunity qualification, and deal closure.

Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently in a remote environment.

Ability to communicate technical and complex solutions clearly and effectively.

Enthusiasm for technology, digital solutions, and service-based offerings.

Collaborative working style with high levels of integrity and business ethics.

Willingness to travel regularly throughout Ireland.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the Ireland. Our pay ranges are determined by the local market.
