Position Description
ESB Insurance Scheme provide private motor and home insurance to ESB employees and their families. We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Personal Lines Insurance Advisor with approximately two years’ experience in a Personal Lines Insurance environment to join the team. The Personal Lines Insurance Advisor will be responsible for supporting customers across all stages of the insurance lifecycle, including new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.
In support of ESB’s strategic objectives, this role helps deliver a valued employee benefit by providing expert insurance advice, excellent customer service and efficient policy administration. Through supporting the ESB Staff Insurance Scheme, the role contributes to a positive employee experience while maintaining high standards of professionalism, compliance and customer care.
Key Responsibilities
Process and administer all aspects of Motor and Home insurance business, including New Business, Mid-Term Adjustments (MTAs), Renewals, Premium Payments and Renewal Reconciliation.
Deliver excellent customer service through telephone, email and written correspondence.
Support competitor benchmarking and assist in maintaining the competitiveness of Scheme products.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
Work collaboratively within the team and provide support across Home and Motor insurance activities as required.
Mandatory paid Overtime (up to 10 hours per month) may be required.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
Must be APA Qualified (Accredited Product Adviser).
2 years' experience working in a Personal Lines Insurance role.
Strong technical knowledge of Home and/or Motor Insurance products.
Proven experience in the administration and processing of New Business, Renewals, and Mid-Term Adjustments (MTAs)
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build positive customer relationships.
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while consistently achieving performance targets, and to demonstrate s trong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Desirable
CIP (Certified Insurance Practitioner)
Knowledge of Applied system
Experience in both home and motor insurance
Location
This position will be based in in ESB Head Office, 27 Lower Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin 2.
Smart Working at ESB is designed to make ‘in-person’ time together as purposeful as possible while also enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid arrangements to preserve our commitment to flexibility. The successful candidate will be required to work full-time in the office until training is completed (potentially 4-6 months) and thereafter may gradually work flexibly, with attendance in the office for in-person collaboration at least three days per week . All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.

Salary
€41,500 - €48,800 per annum (depending on experience)
