At AECOM we are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager:Aviation join us at our Dublin office.
This role is primarily site-based, with attendance on site required four days per week and one day per week available for remote working.
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager:Aviation with 15+ years' experience delivering major building,terminal,airfield and civil infrastructure projects across the full project lifecycle. Working within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment, you will provide strategic leadership, oversee multidisciplinary project teams, and lead the successful delivery of high-profile developments from project inception through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out.
In this role, you will play a key leadership role in delivering a major, multi-year capital investment programme transforming a nationally significant infrastructure asset.

Extensive experience working with the NEC Suite of Contracts in a client, contractor, or consultancy environment.

Proven experience delivering projects within the aviation sector or other operationally complex, live infrastructure environments.

Demonstrated success delivering major capital infrastructure programmes with responsibility for cost, schedule, risk, governance, and stakeholder management.
-
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring Project Managers.
-
Strong client-facing, commercial, and leadership skills with experience managing senior stakeholder relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
Project Management Activities
-
Lead the coordination of the project ensuring interfaces are considered and addressed at all stages of the project lifecycle
-
Maintain the Responsible / Accountable / Consulted / Informed task tracker
-
Work with the technical teams in coordinating and managing the design consultants and other external service providers
-
Organise the appropriate design review meetings and be responsible for communicating design acceptance to the Contractor
-
Be responsible for communicating design changes to relevant members of the project team and stakeholders who may be impacted
-
Report monthly on the tasks throughout the project’s lifecycle including construction works (during the construction phase) that have been undertaken
-
Maintain the overall project risk register and update at monthly progress meetings
-
Identify opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products referring ideas to the appropriate line manager
-
Monitor and apply performance management techniques
-
Manage the change control process
-
Manage the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
Qualifications

Here’s what we’re looking for:
As the successful candidate you will have experience working within our primary infrastructure markets along with having the following qualfications and experience.

A minimum of 15 years’ experience within the construction and infrastructure sector, including the successful delivery of aviation and/or other major projects of comparable scale, complexity, and operational criticality.

Demonstrated understanding of working within live operational airport environments, with a strong appreciation of the associated safety, operational, and stakeholder management requirements.
-
Proven experience managing and overseeing project delivery on-site, with a hands-on approach to construction and infrastructure project execution.
-
Extensive experience in developing, documenting, and implementing construction project management frameworks, policies, procedures, and best-practice standards.
-
Strong track record of delivering major construction and asset delivery projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Experience acting in a client-side project management role, representing the interests of the contracting entity throughout the project lifecycle.
-
Proven ability to engage and influence a broad range of stakeholders at all organisational levels, driving process improvements, governance enhancements, and best-practice project delivery outcomes.

Previous experience using the NEC Suite of contracts as a client, contractor or subcontractor.

Previous experience in an Aviation setting or similarly constrainted environment
