We are seeking X 3 experienced Engineering Technicians to join our high performing manufacturing team in Dun Laoghaire.
Working within a modern, highly automated manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and continuously improving production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Reporting to the Shift Process Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting plant performance through preventative maintenance, equipment optimisation, fault diagnosis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Install, maintain, modify, and repair a wide range of manufacturing and production equipment.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation related equipment issues to minimise production downtime.

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities to the highest engineering standards.

Support continuous improvement projects focused on improving equipment reliability, efficiency, output, and product quality.

Participate in equipment validation activities, including commissioning, acceptance testing, debugging, and qualification of new and existing equipment.

Analyse equipment-related quality issues, customer complaints, and production defects, identifying and implementing corrective actions.

Collaborate with equipment suppliers, contractors, and external service providers as required.

Support the training and development of technicians, apprentices, and new team members.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation using SAP and other business systems.

Promote and maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping across the manufacturing environment.

Participate in cross-functional teams and company-wide continuous improvement initiatives.
You are a hands-on engineering professional who enjoys solving technical problems, improving equipment performance, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

National Craft Certificate, Engineering Technician Qualification, or relevant third-level qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering.

Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device, food, or regulated production environment.

Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems.

Experience supporting automated production equipment and manufacturing processes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with a structured approach to root cause investigation.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Good computer literacy and experience using maintenance management systems or SAP.

Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or Life Sciences).

Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.

Experience supporting equipment validation and qualification activities.
This position operates on a 24/7 manufacturing schedule and follows a 4-cycle shift pattern:

2 x 12-hour day shifts

2 x 12-hour night shifts
-
4 days off
This rotation repeats continuously throughout the year.
