Today, we are recognised as one of Ireland's leading specialists in premium outdoor furniture, BBQs, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, awnings, pizza ovens, garden storage and seasonal retail. Through our two established eCommerce websites—Outdoor.ie and Christmasland.ie—we combine expert advice, premium brands and outstanding customer service to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
As we continue to invest in digital growth, AI and customer experience, we are looking for an experienced Digital Marketing & eCommerce Manager to take ownership of our digital strategy and help shape the next chapter of our business.
This is a senior leadership role for a commercially minded digital professional who understands that successful digital marketing is about delivering measurable business growth—not simply generating clicks or managing social media.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Directors, you will own our digital marketing and eCommerce strategy across both businesses.
You'll be responsible for increasing qualified website traffic, improving conversion rates, growing online revenue, supporting showroom sales, strengthening our digital presence and identifying new opportunities for commercial growth.
This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution. You'll work closely with our showroom team, buyers, developers and external partners to ensure every digital initiative supports real business objectives.

What You'll Be Responsible For
Digital Strategy & Business Growth
- Develop and execute a digital strategy aligned with the company's commercial objectives.
- Identify opportunities to grow online revenue, increase qualified leads and support showroom footfall.
- Use data, analytics and customer behaviour to drive strategic decision-making.
- Monitor competitor activity, emerging technologies and AI developments to maintain our competitive advantage.
eCommerce & Customer Experience
- Manage and continually optimise both WooCommerce websites.
- Improve merchandising, navigation, search functionality and customer journeys.
- Deliver ongoing improvements in website performance, speed, usability and conversion rates.
- Ensure products, promotions and seasonal campaigns are executed to the highest standard.
Search & Content Strategy
- Lead technical SEO, content strategy, local SEO and AI-assisted search optimisation.
- Build content that informs, inspires and converts customers throughout the buying journey.
- Develop buying guides, landing pages, category content and product information that reinforces our position as market experts.
- Use AI to improve research, workflow efficiency, reporting and content development.
Performance Marketing
- Own paid advertising across Google, Meta and other relevant platforms.
- Manage budgets with full accountability for return on investment.
- Develop audience segmentation, remarketing and customer acquisition strategies.
- Continuously optimise campaigns using analytics, testing and performance data.
Email Marketing & Customer Retention
- Develop customer lifecycle marketing programmes.
- Improve retention, repeat purchases and customer engagement through targeted email campaigns and automation.
Analytics & Commercial Reporting
- Monitor KPIs including revenue, conversion rate, customer acquisition cost, ROAS, organic visibility and customer engagement.
- Produce meaningful reports that support business decisions rather than simply presenting data.
- Recommend and implement improvements based on measurable commercial outcomes.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Manage relationships with external developers, agencies and specialist suppliers.
- Work closely with showroom staff, buyers and management to ensure digital activity reflects current commercial priorities.
- Lead digital projects from concept through implementation and review.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with practical execution.
You are commercially aware, naturally curious and passionate about using digital technology to solve business problems.
Most importantly, you have a proven history of delivering measurable commercial growth through digital marketing.
Essential Experience
You will ideally have:
- Five or more years' experience leading digital marketing or eCommerce within a retail or consumer-facing business.
- Strong experience managing WooCommerce or similar eCommerce platforms.
- Demonstrated success delivering measurable growth through SEO, PPC, paid social, email marketing and conversion optimisation.
- Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Google Merchant Center and Google Ads.
- Experience using SEO platforms such as SEMrush or equivalent.
- Experience coordinating developers, agencies and external digital partners.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into commercial decisions.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Experience
- Retail or premium consumer brand experience.
- Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO).
- Product photography and short-form video creation.
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
- Experience implementing AI-driven workflows, automation and productivity tools.
- Understanding of customer journey mapping and UX best practice.
