An exciting opportunity is available to support the Dublin Accugenix laboratory.
The Laboratory Coordinator, under the guidance of the Laboratory Manager & Supervisor, will be required to perform administrative, coordination & CI project tasks as well as some aspects of the Molecular Technologist role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Completion of the following activities to support the Laboratory Supervisor to ensure optimum performance of the Accugenix Laboratory:
- Lead/Support the implementation of continuous improvement methods to enhance area operations, efficiency, job satisfaction and service to both internal and external customers.
- Work on developing efficient work procedures and processes that support company and departmental standards, procedures, and strategic directives.
- Work closely with QA to ensure activities for testing routine are dealt with in a timely manner: OOS, deviation, Change Controls, etc.
- Work side by side with all personnel to complete projects and daily work-related items.
- Perform customer sample processing activities if required.
- Ensure adherence to pertinent regulatory requirements (GMP, FDA, ISO) and to departmental policies, practices, and procedures (SOPs, safety procedures and biosafety protocols).
- Assist and coordinate training of laboratory personnel and ensure completion of training activities in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with Facilities to maintain the calibration & qualification schedule of equipment in the laboratories.
- Assist Management in customer audits and tours when applicable.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. /B.S.) in Microbiology / Biology or a related discipline essential.
Experience
Minimum of 3 to 5 years related experience in a pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory setting. 3 years of experience with DNA Sequencing and/or MALDI-TOF microbial identification testing required.
Other: Knowledge of MS Windows based programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as previous experience in using other company specific program applications.
Experience in a cGMP environment required.
