Key skills and prior experience that align well with this position

Java development with modern frameworks – demonstrated proficiency in Spring Boot, Quarkus, and core J2EE technologies; ability to work across all stages of the software development lifecycle
Microservices and API development – experience designing and developing RESTful APIs with understanding of API security protocols (OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect), API managers, and containerisation platforms (OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes)
Full-stack web development – proficiency in JavaScript, Angular 2+, HTML, CSS, and web services; experience with relational databases (Oracle) and Spring JDBC
DevOps and tooling familiarity – exposure to CI/CD pipelines, version control (GitLab), build automation (Maven, Jenkins), code quality tools (SonarQube), and collaboration platforms (Jira, Confluence)

What type of work will I be doing?

Program Java components using industry-standard frameworks such as Spring Boot and Quarkus, adhering to application coding standards
Code new developments and enhancements based on technical design specifications, completing assigned tasks within given scope and timeframes
Design and develop microservices and RESTful APIs, with understanding of API security protocols (OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect)
Design and implement integration tests using testing frameworks and test-driven development approaches (e.g., Cucumber, JUnit)
Maintain, tune, and repair applications to keep them performing according to technical and functional specifications
Integrate technical and application components to meet business requirements, including integration with external third-party systems
Participate in peer code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback
Support system testing activities and provide user support when applications are deployed to production environments
