Job Title: Consultant Histopathologist, Dermatopathology

Role Purpose

This post is an opportunity to join an expanding dynamic histopathology service.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain throughout the hospital, awareness of the primacy of the patient in relation to all of the Hospital's activities
Demonstrate behaviour consistent with the Values of the Hospital.
Promote open communications throughout the hospital.
Will work as part of a multidisciplinary team under the direction of the hospital CEO.
Will possess the necessary skill-mix to address current deficiencies.
Will provide clinical leadership in MDT context.
Deliver high-quality diagnostic histopathology services.
Lead and/or support quality assurance, audits, and INAB accreditation efforts.
Engage in continuous service improvement.
Work collaboratively with hospital management and clinical leads.

Qualifications/Experience

Expertise in Dermatopathology is essential. Additional expertise in Gastrointestinal Pathology or Hematopathology is desirable.
Specialist registration with the Medical Council of Ireland in Histopathology.
Strong communication and leadership skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
Experience in clinical governance, laboratory accreditation (ISO 15189), and quality improvement.
