SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - DUBLIN OR CORK

We cover the entire life cycle of any building project, with our broad capability offering saving our clients time, money, and effort. Our approach is centred around listening to our clients and interacting energetically with our fellow project stakeholders. We now seek an experienced Senior Engineer to be based in our Dublin office. The successful candidate will be involved in data centres, industrial, commercial, oil and gas & pharma. You will have experience in the delivery of European data centres and mission-critical projects, along with other sector experience including process pharmaceutical, healthcare, commercial, labs and/or clean rooms would be desirable.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The senior electrical engineer will manage full electrical design on projects of all sizes.
Fulfil electrical design work as required, ranging from electrical building services up to MV topology.
Provide quality control where requested for electrical engineering projects.
Project cost control.
Management of both project teams and cross-functional teams withing the existing organizational structure.
Lead change in new technologies.
Mentor and develop the team.
Travel to client and project locations as requested to represent the company for meetings, surveys etc.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

5 years plus as a senior electrical engineer, covering the duties as listed above.
BSc/BEng or degree in appropriate engineering discipline or have sufficient equivalent experience.
MIEE or HNC/HND plus appropriate experience or equivalent.
Candidates with chartership or in the process of attaining chartership will have a distinct advantage.
Significant experience of specification design for several building types.
Excellent communication skills.
Must have a full Irish driving licence.
Candidates must be fluent in English and eligible to work in Ireland.
Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation.
Knowledge of MS Office applications word, excel etc.
Be proficient in the following software, Dialux, Amtech (trimble) Etap, Eracs Cdegs etc.
Good understanding of BS standards
Ability to prioritise own workload
Ability to work to deadlines
Managerial skills
Presentation skills
Support the delivery of projects in accordance with the expectations of the RED Project Delivery Process from a Project Management, Financial Management, QA/QC and Technical Review perspective.
Background in consulting or construction preferred.
Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy.
Act in an ethical manner and follow the principles of the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines of the Group
