HRIS Manager – Oracle HCM
Grant Thornton is seeking an experienced HRIS Manager with deep expertise in Oracle HCM Core HR to support and enhance our global People & Culture (HR) technology landscape. This role will serve as the primary HRIS lead for Ireland while also playing a critical role in supporting Grant Thornton's continued expansion and operational growth across the EMEA region.
The ideal candidate will possess strong Oracle HCM functional expertise, particularly within Core HR, while also demonstrating experience across additional Oracle HCM modules such as Recruiting, Absence Management, Talent, and Security. This individual will act as a strategic partner to People & Culture, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders, ensuring scalable processes, data integrity, compliance, and successful adoption of Oracle HCM solutions.
In addition to operational support, this role will help in leading HR technology activities associated with new country implementations, entity on boarding, acquisitions, and expansion initiatives throughout EMEA.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle HCM Functional Leadership
- Serve as the primary functional lead for Oracle HCM within Ireland and across designated EMEA initiatives.
- Configure, maintain, test, and optimise Oracle HCM functionality.
- Support and collaborate with others in HRIS related to other HCM modules such as Recruiting, Absence Management, Talent, Compensation and Reporting.
- Manage and direct requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and deployment activities.
- Partner with global HRIS team to deliver quarterly Oracle updates and continuous improvements.
Evaluate new Oracle features and recommend adoption strategies aligned with business need

HRIS Operations & Data Governance
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of employee data.
- Monitor and resolve system issues while maintaining established service levels.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory requirements.
Develop governance processes, documentation, and standard operating procedures.

EMEA Expansion Leadership
- Act as HRIS lead for new country deployments and entity expansions across EMEA.
- Coordinate P&C and enterprise technology work streams during mergers, acquisitions, and organisational changes.
- Support localisation requirements including organisational structures, regulatory compliance, absence policies, and data privacy considerations.
- Partner with regional stakeholders to design scalable processes that support future growth.
- Drive implementation planning, cut over activities, testing strategies, and post-go-live stabilisation.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Lead cross-functional projects involving P&C, IT, Payroll, Finance, and external vendors.
- Manage project timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to HRIS analysts and project team members.
- Present recommendations and project updates to leadership teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of HRIS experience with at least 3 years supporting Oracle HCM Cloud.
- Strong functional and technical expertise in Oracle HCM Core HR.
- Experience supporting Oracle HCM Recruiting and Absence Management.
- Demonstrated experience leading system implementations, enhancements, or large-scale HR technology projects.
- Ensuring adherence to SDLC standards, including requirements traceability, design reviews, testing strategy, release planning, and stage‑gate governance.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working with global stakeholders across multiple time zones.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting EMEA and/or Global HR operations and employment practices.
- Experience participating in country rollouts, acquisitions, or entity integrations.
- Knowledge of Oracle HCM Security, Journeys, Talent Management, Compensation and Workforce Structures.
- Familiarity with HR system integrations and reporting tools.
- Experience working within professional services, consulting, or multinational organisations.
- Oracle HCM Cloud certifications preferred.
