We are seeking an experienced Product Director to lead a strategic enterprise AI initiative focused on transforming medical record review through modern AI capabilities. This leader will define and execute the product strategy for a multi-year modernization effort that connects existing healthcare platforms with emerging AI technologies, including intelligent document understanding, clinical reasoning, and autonomous claim coding.
The ideal candidate brings deep healthcare domain expertise, and the technical acumen to partner effectively with engineering and architecture teams. This individual will serve as the product leader responsible for aligning business objectives, technology strategy, and operational outcomes across a complex enterprise ecosystem.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for AI-powered medical record review and related clinical operations

Lead the modernization of legacy workflows by integrating enterprise platforms with next-generation AI capabilities, including autonomous claim coding and intelligent clinical documentation processing

Partner closely with enterprise architecture, engineering, AI/ML teams, clinical operations, and business stakeholders to define scalable, interoperable solutions

Drive product discovery by identifying high-value use cases, validating customer needs, and prioritizing investments based on measurable business outcomes

Ensure seamless integration across existing Optum and UnitedHealthcare systems while minimizing operational disruption

Translate complex business, clinical, and technical requirements into actionable product plans and delivery roadmaps

Collaborate with architecture teams to establish API strategies, integration patterns, data flows, security requirements, and scalable system designs

Guide cross-functional teams through product lifecycle activities, including vision, roadmap development, feature prioritization, release planning, adoption, and continuous improvement

Define success metrics and monitor key performance indicators related to quality, automation, productivity, clinical accuracy, and financial outcomes

Ensure AI solutions meet regulatory, compliance, privacy, security, and responsible AI standards

Serve as the executive product leader communicating vision, progress, risks, and investment priorities to senior leadership

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

Proven extensive experience in product management with progressive leadership responsibility

Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale product initiatives involving AI, automation, or digital transformation

Proven experience delivering products within highly regulated environments

Proven ability to work effectively across product, engineering, architecture, operations, data science, and executive leadership teams

Demonstrated solid communication, strategic planning, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experience leading products that leverage Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic AI, or autonomous workflow automation

Demonstrated familiarity with enterprise architecture principles, cloud-native platforms, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems
