Bay Enterprises is currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitter to work on a customer site on a 12 month contract. Reporting to the onsite Maintenance Manager, the Mechanical Fitter will work as part of a team responsible for all aspects of machine and equipment maintenance, specializing in the repair of industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Working as part of a team to carry out Preventative maintenance on customer equipment
· Assist the Maintenance manager with the implementation of preventative maintenance programs for all machines in assigned area.
· Assist with the continuous monitoring of all machinery and equipment within the plant such as centrifugal pumps, control valves, relief valves and other equipment used in Pharmaceutical industries.
· Ensure real time repair of machines and equipment to get them back up & running within optimum time frame
· Adhere to company safety policies at all times.
The Candidate
· A MAMF (Mechanical Automation Maintenance Fitting) Trade is required for this role.
· 5 years’ experience working in a hands-on mechanical/technical environment is a significant advantage
· Knowledge of ATEX equipment and ATEX zones significant advantage
· Prior experience working in Pharmaceutical industry significant advantage
· Interest, energy, and motivation to work in a fast-moving manufacturing environment
· Proven ability to work well as part of a team & on own initiative with minimum supervision
· Excellent communication skills
· Must be self-motivated and have strong technical capability with attention to detail
