As our business continues to grow and our portfolio of residential construction projects expands, we are seeking an experienced Construction Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team based in the Dublin area. The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and financial aspects of residential construction projects from tender stage through to final account. You will work closely with senior management, site teams, subcontractors, clients, and consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project budgets, valuations, cost reports, and financial forecasts.
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, bills of quantities, cost estimates, and other commercial documentation.
- Assess, value, and process subcontractor applications, payments, and variations.
- Monitor project costs and identify opportunities to improve commercial performance.
- Carry out cost analysis and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and assist in resolving commercial issues or disputes.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and cost updates.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Support procurement activities and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist with final accounts and project close-out.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience, preferably within residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying/cost management software.
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full, clean driving licence is desirable.
