About the Role

As a Lecturer you’ll lead and deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across the Ethnomusicology, Professional Development and Research Practice modules, with a focus on student success and wellbeing. You’ll contribute to curriculum development, support the student journey both academically and pastorally, and ensure teaching standards meet the highest expectations.

What You’ll Do:

Lead, plan, and deliver Ethnomusicology, Professional Development and Research Practices modules.
Design and develop resources, schemes of work, and assessments.
Provide high-quality teaching and learning, both in-person and online.
Support students with academic guidance and pastoral care as an Academic Advisor.
Use data and student feedback to enhance teaching and improve outcomes.
Mark and moderate assessments and contribute to quality assurance processes.
Participate in student recruitment activities including auditions, interviews, and open days.
Engage in professional development, scholarly activity, and potentially research.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure an excellent, inclusive student experience.
Contribute to the development of course content and University-wide initiatives.

What You’ll Bring:

Experience in the music industry.
A relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent industry experience.
A teaching qualification or Fellowship of Advance HE (or willingness to achieve this within two years).
A passion for education and experience in innovative teaching practices.
A strong understanding of academic quality, standards, and inclusive learning environments.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.

This is a part time role based on working 22.5 hours per week.

Pay: €39,000.00-€45,448.00 per year
